A central Newfoundland (Canada) tourism operator plans to create a new type of outdoor lodging near the Exploits River.

As per a report, Red Indian Adventures Limited is proposing to build four geodesic domes in its tourism business approximately 20 kilometers west of Grand Falls-Windsor.

The construction of glamping accommodations includes clearing land, construction of concrete foundations for pillars, drilling, and installing a septic system.

Underground connections are also needed for connecting the domes to existing power lines located on-site.

Construction is scheduled to start in May, and if it is approved through the environmental assessment process, it is anticipated to take between three to four months to finish.

The public input deadline is at the end of March, and the minister’s final decision is due on April 10.
